More About the Artist

When I paint I enter a timeless world, so the act of creativity becomes a meditation. Painting becomes a ritual. An inner silence descends and I feel connected at a deep level. I prefer not to paint unless I have achieved this state of inner peace.

I seek to reveal the inner land hidden within the landscape and reveal its mythic content. Although I usually paint to reveal the 'secret country' within the British landscape, this is not always the case, as in the painting titled 'August 12', a work with great personal meaning for me.

It is very important for me to express this in a way that helps reveal possibilities to others. I am often told by people that my work reminds them of somewhere they've forgotten, or dreamed about. It moves them, sometimes to tears. I believe many people know intuitively that there are secrets and keys to our purpose and origins locked within the landscape. I seek to translate the mystical symbolism of this landscape in my art, allowing the ethereal aspects to become visible and tell their stories. I bring into play signs and symbols, colours and elements, but not randomly.

Myths are codes and clues that enable us to divine the different functions of sacred landscape, and although some functions are the same or similar worldwide, some vary widely (and wildly) from country to country and place to place. The way we perceive them also is dependant to some degree on ethnic, cultural and spiritual beliefs and background.

I believe that at some level our conciousness is subtly linked to this inner landscape and that it can be accessed and visited through psychically induced geomantic perception via meditation and in many other ways also.

Mythic images portrayed through the arts, such as music, poetry and painting etc. tell stories that affect us at a soul level. The intention of sacred art is to create the possibility of a spiritual experience of some kind for the viewer.

It is the content of the art, and not the art itself which is sacred. Creating the image is only a partial completion. True completion occurs when it is viewed by others, and they open to the message of the work. Then and only then have I achieved what I wish for.

As I stated elsewhere on this site, I am also a psychic photographer who has the ability to capture elemental life forms as well as human and animal apparitions, ufos and dimensional shifts on camera.

I am here with a mission to help open doors and reveal other dimensions to people and aid in their awakening at this time, and I am more than happy to follow my continually expanding vision of love and respect for all life-forms in all possible worlds and dimensions.

I feel that in many ways my photographs and my paintings are connected in that they reveal that which is generally hidden from our view. For those of you who, like me, have an interest in paranormal phenonema and other-dimensional lifeforms, I have written an explanation of my beliefs and work, my unusual approach regarding the matter of psychic photography and I have, of course, included photographs of some of the Otherworldly beings whose images I have captured with my camera.
