Revealing the Undiscovered Country Interpreting the Luminous Landscape Through Photography

Enter the Gallery The photographs in this gallery have an Otherworldly quality that makes them more akin to dreamscapes than to genuine landscape images. The appearance in some of the pictures of apparitions and structures that were not visibly present when the photo's were taken alters the quality of the images entirely. The light and textures derived from motion or slow shutter speed blend with genuine paranormal phenomena upon the photographs producing images of mysteriously shifting realities. Staring at these colorful landscapes often reveals figures and face after face gazing back at the viewer from within the dream-like images. I continually photograph the natural world, and very few of my photographs (or paintings) are without the presence of magical trees. I am captivated by trees and my eyes are continually magnetically drawn towards them. I believe they create a special field, possibly electro-magnetic, that allows under the correct circumstances for passage through the many portals that seem to exist around and within them. The poetic quality of their forms in the landscape, unutterably beautiful in any season, and the busy psychic atmosphere around them, make them an irresistible subject for me. I have never seen a tree I didn't like. I dedicate this gallery to all trees. I hope you are moved by their presentation here within these visionary landscapes, as well as by the presence of those who chose to manifest in a way that allowed them to appear visibly within the art.
