This gallery is interesting as it represents the results of an on-going experiment I have been conducting. As I began to understand that spirits are able to manifest best when given light and movement to 'paint' their likenesses with, I also began to experiment by taking random shots against different backgrounds. I played with different camera settings and types of surfaces. I used light and dark backgrounds, smooth and textured, matte and shiny, and all the combinations of those things I could come up with, and eventually hit on a method that yielded results time and again.

It also led to me to experiment still further and combine psychic photography with art in what I believe is a co-operative effort between myself and other dimensional lifeforms. I will be discussing this and showing examples of this art in the 'DIGITAL ART' section of this website. I discovered that a low-light, slow shutter speed (more time in which to manifest) combined with a dark surface capable of reflecting moving light (living spirit-paint to play with) was the key to some most interesting phenomena that I will show you here. I believe these experiments are repeatable by other psychic photographers and mediums. I discovered the best technique to use because of my method of storing large paintings. I protectively wrap any of my finished and very delicate paintings that are too large to store in a folio. I first enclose the paintings in paper, leaving them still on the board they were originally taped to. I then put the whole thing into a garbage bag and seal it up to keep everything dust-free. Sometimes these plastic-wrapped boards will sit leaning up against something for a few days before going into storage. The bags are always black, and one day I took several shots of one of these, close-up, making sure that the bag filled the whole frame.

When I checked these pictures I was excited to see images that appeared to be of faces and/or scenes. I took many shots this way over a period of weeks. Several times I tried putting paper of various hues near the bags so that they would reflect and there would be more colours to work with. I usually ask before I begin that any spirits or beings who wish to pose come forward and do so. I believe this makes a difference and that many souls are willing to co-operate. I suggest that if you experiment in this or a similar way, you ground and protect yourself first in whichever way you would normally do so.

I make no claims for these photographs other than that they are exactly as they naturally occurred except for editing to make the images easier to see, such as cropping, enlarging, sharpening and adjusting contrast. The images I have captured are mainly of people and scenes, or vignettes, with an occasional unknown entity-type making an appearance. It was in a black-bag shot that I discovered the very clear and recognisable face of someone I knew very well who passed away over twenty years ago. I seem to be able to repeat these experiments any time I want to, finding faces and anomalous images on a large proportion of my photographs.

I hope you find these images as fascinating as I did when I saw them, and that it will encourage people to devise and carry out their own experiments successfully.
