GREEN JACK

Now, here's a fellow! Jack-in-the-Green is one of aspects of the most ancient and well known of all folk figures, and he is very real and very much alive. Known around the world in different guises, he represents the beloved green guardian of nature, embracing all of the natural world. As a Jack, he is represented in this painting as connected to the well-being of vegetation and foliage. This image has been a persistent favorite for a lot of people. Many people have told me that if you look at him for long enough he shifts and changes in some way, and I as well have now seen this occur. Please let me know if you also experience this shift.
