IMBOLC
winter's iron grip is still fast upon the land, but the end is in sight and the seasons are about to change once again. Imbolc is a Celtic festival celebrated on or around February 1st, and its name refers to the lactation of ewes. The festival is associated with the beginning of Spring heralded by the sun's returning strength and the first signs of new growth. Snowdrops are already pushing there way through the earth and the first lambs are being birthed. Through the magical holey stone can be seen an enticing glimpse of the Spring soon to come.
