I painted this work for very personal reasons, and as a consequence it is full of deep meaning for me. Despite this, it conveys symbology and content relating to alchemy and the most ancient of mysteries that will be meaningful for many people. Of course, it can also be enjoyed as a fantasy piece, as can all of my work, if the viewer wishes. I also needed to work with those golden hues and tones for a while, as a kind of color-therapy for myself.
