PICTISH BULL

Here my goal was to capture the ancient spirit of Scotland when it was inhabited by the Picts, a race of unknown but much speculated-upon origin. The Romans called them the 'painted people' for their tattoos or body-paintings of animals and stranger forms with which they covered their faces and bodies. Proficient in shapeshifting, this pre-Celtic matriarchal people may have held a special secret that is now locked in the misty, hidden past, a key to much magical knowledge that was encoded within them and their 'Dragon-blood'.
